What’s Been Happening at TuffStuff HQ
Ever wondered what “stuff” we’re really made of? Well, you’re in the right place.
We’ve been keeping ourselves busy lately: new stockists, big events, and, of course, supporting the people who make TuffStuff what it is. So, if you're curious about what our crew has been up to, we've got you a little behind-the-scenes round-up.
T20 Finals
In mid-September, the Easton Cricket Women’s team and a few of their mates took a day out to catch some serious action at the T20 Finals in Birmingham. And what a match it was.
The heat was on with Somerset versus Gloucestershire, and it was Gloucestershire who managed to pip the post to victory by 8 wickets.
While the cricket may have been the main event, our TuffStuff gear definitely got its fair share of attention. The Easton team was decked out in our trusty TuffStuff Trucker Caps and those iconic Zip Front Coveralls - bright red and bold as ever. Between the wickets falling and the beer flowing, we caught a few mentions of the word "comfy" floating around, and if that’s not a win, we don’t know what is.
Fix Radio Party
September wasn’t just about the cricket, though. "The Builder's Station", aka Fix Radio, threw a party, and you know we weren't going to miss it.
Now, if you’re a Fix Radio fan (and let’s face it, with over half a million weekly listeners, you might be), you’ve probably heard us on there at least once or twice. Maybe you’ve caught it during "The Night Shift" or while on site tuning into "Early Doors." Either way, we’ve been partners with the crew at Fix for a while now, so when they hit 511,000 weekly listeners, it was all about raising a glass to celebrate.
There were pints, there were laughs, and there were definitely a few photos that won’t be seeing the light of day (we’ll leave those up to your imagination). But we couldn’t be prouder to back a station that speaks directly to the tradespeople who rely on gear like ours day in and day out.
So, here’s to keeping the partnership strong and here's to the next 500,000.
Bodyguard Workwear Open Day
Next up, we had Mark McGovern, one of our top reps, representing TuffStuff at the Bodyguard Workwear Open Day at the end of September.
Now, Mark doesn’t do things by halves, and this event was no exception. He put on a 6 Dart Challenge that had everyone aiming for a head-to-toe TuffStuff workwear bundle (which, let’s be honest, is better than a trophy any day).
Of course, it wouldn't be a darts event without Joe Cullen and Gerwyn Price in attendance. Or, well, cardboard stands on either sides of the dartboard. Unfortunately, the lads themselves couldn't be there, but we're sure their steely stares made even the steadiest hands waver just a bit.
Besides the dart challenge, there were show-day offers on some of our best-selling gear and we made sure there were plenty of snacks to keep everyone fuelled up too.
Shop Installs
And finally, if you've had your eye on our blog, you'll have seen we shared a bit about some of our in-store stockists recently. And we like to keep the ball rolling.
September and October saw us kitting out new places across the UK, making sure our gear is front and centre, right where it belongs.
At Jacs Skipton, we installed a tidy 2m premium display that looks like the best workwear wardrobe out there. This is a new builder’s merchant for us, and we’re excited to be reaching new hands (and heads and feet) in this part of the country.
Next up, we headed over to J Todd & Son to add a bit of TuffStuff clothing there too. We have to admit the setup looks pretty slick, so we think it’ll be a hit.
And then the big one - our massive install at SBT. We’re talking a whole new workwear section, stocked and ready to go with all the TuffStuff workwear you could need. Hoodies, jackets, boots, the lot. If you’re in the area, stop by and have a look. We reckon you’ll have a hard time resisting picking something up while you’re there.
What’s Next?
As always, we’ve got plenty more up our sleeves. Whether it’s showing up at more events, stocking more shops, or maybe just doing more kicking back listening to Fix Radio, we're here, there, and everywhere.
So, stay tuned for more updates, because we’re just getting started.
